Motorola’s New Multi-Room DVR Software
The multi-room DVR launches continue to roll. Cincinnati Bell is now deploying Motorola’s software-based whole-home DVR solution, giving subscribers access to DVR features on up to eight client boxes over an in-home MoCA network.

Comcast has officially launched its multi-room DVR service, dubbed AnyRoom DVR, in parts of Oregon and Washington. The long-anticipated service uses Motorola DCX set-tops with MoCA, and connects up to three client boxes to one 500GB DVR hub.

ZeoTiVo- yes, you can access menus and schedule recordings from any set-top. The networking is done via MoCA, but the ability to pause live TV and schedule recordings throughout the house is part of the Motorola software.
Comcast’s implementation cannot schedule recordings or manage series priorites from an ancillary room.
Comcast’s S/W Ver: 78.44 – A28p0-2.0908.r4 and also 78.53 – A28p0-4.1005.r-8 currently can only playback/pause/ff/rew recordings on DCX-3200m set tops. You have to do all your recording management/setup/deletion/etc… on the primary DCX-3400m.
This of course may change.
