After T-Mobile violated our trust by raising supposedly guaranteed rates, we migrated to Verizon Visible last year… and let me tell you, the grass has been greener over here. Unlimited everything, as with T-Mo, but more perks and at less than half the price. Now, you too, can join in with their resurrected half off sale.
Instead of $450 for the Visible+ Pro plan, the annual fee is currently $225 with code SAVEHALF. But it gets better. Check your charge cards for offers (mine is currently a $15 credit) and also receive $25-40 cash back via Rakuten. Basically the same playbook I ran last year.
As to the service details, you can expect unlimited text, calls, and data on Visible. But those are often table stakes these days. What sets this Visible+ Pro plan apart is free smartwatch service, unlimited hotspot, and 24 overseas ‘day passes’ provided upfront for generous international service. It’s clearly superior to our former, pricier T-Mobile plan, which charged extra for a watch and capped overseas data at 3G, plus billed 25 cents a minute for travel calls. And if you have FiOS, like us, you’ll also get $15 off your monthly Internet bill with Visible.
Of course, no service is perfect and my primary complaint with Visible is that each person requires their own account… which can be a bit tedious. On the flip side, last year we were able to apply a different credit card offer to each plan. Also, one of the ways Verizon is able to keep the Visible price so low is by limiting support — there are no stores and getting a chat going with staff can take some work. Although my wife got it done. She refused to move to an also compelling US Mobile plan, which had been my intent, and put in the time to find an agent and secure us reduced rates for another year. Score!
