After a many year absence, TiVo had disclosed plans to re-enter the Canadian retail market this year. And, it appears, this bit of news may have been inadvertently announced during their Facebook Live event. However, TiVo VP Ted Malone was willing to elaborate a bit on his below comments and has confirmed with me that we’re talking about an OTA DVR. Whether or not that’s a Bolt or the newly discovered TiVo Edge remains to be seen. Pricing and exact timing are also question marks. But, given Tablo’s corporate address, we known Canadian cord cutters also love their antenna television programming and it’s good to see TiVo return.
