As I discovered earlier this month, i.TV has indeed been working on TiVo scheduling. Their updated i.TV iPhone app now links to your TiVo web account to schedule recordings. And i.TV’s television guide sure beats TiVo’s own mobile site. Assuming you can get it to work. Although I didn’t have good luck (pic below), Alex over at TiVoBlog.com was more successful.
This new feature joins Netflix queue management and various video previews. But the i.TV folks may have even grander intentions, recently unveiling an eWallet – initially, for movie ticket purchases. i.TV’s worth keeping an eye on…
Generally speaking, I’m reluctant to share credentials of any sort with third parties. However, I can confirm i.TV is working with TiVo, Inc. Just be aware that “linking” isn’t entirely accurate – your TiVo.com email address and password will be cached.
Dave,
I received the same error you did on at lest one recording attempt…..
Just got mine linked last night. I had no problems setting up a recording on my S2 .
Hm Alex, maybe I’ll try a few more times. Obviously some kinks still to be worked out.
@Dave,
I think you are right.
BTW, when are you going implement threaded comments? Let me know if you need help with implementing it once you switch to WP 2.7.
Alex, I won’t be implementing threaded comments via WordPress. Not as long as I have this theme, at least. Also, given the amount of comments I’m not sure it adds a whole lot of value. If I go with an Intense Debate at some point, they have it built in. However, I may implement the WP 2.7 page breaks after X comments. But I won’t actually be upgrading to 2.7. Waiting on 2.7.1 – here’s the evolving bug tracker: http://trac.wordpress.org/query?status=closed&milestone=2.7.1&resolution=fixed&resolution=invalid&order=priority
I’m with Dave to say that the volume of comments does not warrant threading. Plus, most threading UI’s make you do excessive clicking to read all the comments. I’m lazy and would rather just scroll once. If replies are confusing, I’m fine with scrollig up.
Yep, same error here (about different providers). Too bad.
Shame on iTV for not using OAuth and eliminating the need to give out your TiVo ID.
NetFlix supports it though!

I wish they would get Uverse line ups added so I could use the app and Tivo synching. :(
I am receiving an error message when I try to link my accounts: SSL error 52: SSL read error 140994415:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES: ssl v3 alert certificate expired, errno0. Did anyone else have this problem? Do you know how to fix it?
I been receiving the SSL read error also when trying to link my tivo account to I.TV. I have not found out a fix yet. i have tried to change my login info on tivo’s website, but that has not worked.
@Kevin — Saw your comment. Have you tried sending an email to support[at]i.tv? If that hasn’t worked for you, come visit us on Twitter @mediamyway and we’ll help you out.
