Does anyone know whether or not the Lifetime transfer deal is available if we use this discount?
TiVo reps have previously stated that you no longer need to buy the unit directly from them through the special web site in order to transfer Lifetime — supposedly units bought from any vendor are covered. I can’t recall if there was a special 800 number or if you just call the activation line.
Cool, I finally decided to get a slingbox AV with this deal. No tax, no shipping charge.
It is a very good deal. I think I’m going to get my mom an AV unit as well, so we can stop breaking the Terms Of Service. ;) Actually, so she can appreciate higher resolution over her LAN and know where all her cable channels are.
