In honor of the new Zatz Not Funny Facebook annex, we’re giving away our Vulkano Flow review hardware.
If you recall, the Flow is the first placeshifter with a MSRP under $100. And mobile clients run almost 2/3rds less than their Slingbox equivalents. Overall, we found it a good value for those with non-HD placeshifting needs. Check out our review here.
To win the Vulkano Flow, you’ll have to Like our Facebook page. We’ll randomly choose one US-based winner from amongst our registered fans on Wednesday, May 18th. What you do after Wednesday is up to you. But, of course, we do hope you’ll stick around. Right now, the page primarily consists of ZNF story headlines… sprinkled with a few other interesting digital media story links and photos. The Wall is also currently open for contributions, so feel free to throw your hat into the ring. And we’ll collectively see how this thing evolves.
Thanks to Monsoon Multimedia, makers of the Vulkano line of placeshifters, and FortyThree PR for their support!
And to clarify… You’ll want to Like our Fan page, rather than this specific post. It can be found here:

A plea not to make Facebook the default method of future ZNF contests. Some of us choose not to live in Mark Zuckerberg’s little virtual world.
Open standards, por favor. Comments. Emails. Web forms. Just anything but that execrable Facebook…
I can imagine another giveaway in the near term to boost our Facebook page’s exposure and make inroads against the Google hegemony. But, this won’t become our default giveaway method. Not that you’d ever enter or provide your real name and address for shipping out the winning schwag. ;)
Also, another reason not to use the Facebook page as the giveaway page is that you don’t want people who Liked your page 2 years ago but stopped reading to start winning stuff. Not like I should complain as I’ve won twice already. Also, I Liked your FB page because I didn’t realize you had one, but if lightning strikes a third time, you can give it to someone else – I don’t need this.
Thanks, Dave, for giving me a reason to visit Facebook. Somehow, I just don’t have time/energy to hang out on there as much as I used to when I was in school.
