Bear Stearns put on a webcast yesterday concluding the Apple TV isn’t all that… now. But they see some potential “evolution” with future TV platforms (set-top box, HD, DVR, gaming), WiMax or UWB options, increased storage, online storage, and remote desktop access. Following TiVo’s trajectory, Bear Stearns believes Apple TV penetration could reach 6% by 2012 and that the download revenue of Apple’s model will be more lucrative for studios than advertising revenue.
