With all the excitement around Internet video, some may be tempted to ignore signs of growth among traditional cable operators. Recent earnings reports would set you straight, but if you’re not big on scanning IR releases, here’s a simple measurement for determining MSO success.
Comcast announced last week that it will lease an additional 151,646 square feet of space in the new Comcast Center headquarters currently under construction in Center City Philadelphia. That brings the company’s total lease space to a whopping 1.09 million square feet. That’s space for a lot of humans and a lot of video servers.
In other notable news, Comcast has announced that its next takeover targets include Dallas, Raleigh-Durham, St. Louis and San Jose. (just kidding)
