A pair of Fitbit devices just passed thru the FCC. And, given aggressive $90 Versa pricing today, my first thought was a quick refresh of the company’s relatively new smart watch. However, with ‘activity tracker’ verbiage and narrow “e-label” screens, a revamp or replacement of the Fitbit Alta line seems way more likely.
From limited public FCC documentation, it’s not clear if the the bands feature a touchscreen and/or physical buttons. But as to what new technology a Fitbit Alta 2 duo might feature, it’s possible a SpO2 sensor could make an appearance in the higher-end HR unit to bring parity with Versa, Charge, and Ionic… getting in on new sleep tracking capabilities, including the possibility of identifying sleep apnea.
