New e-commerce site Jet.com is attempting to attract customers with a generous 20% off coupon code – and I took the bait.
I assume there are many good deals to be had, but one in particular caught my eye. I’ve been looking to retire an awful 22″ Vizio television in favor of something a bit more modern. And, while I’d prefer 1080p, this 32″ TCL Roku TV ran me less than $160 – no taxes, no shipping fees. Which is pretty crazy when you stop to think that a Roku Stick alone runs about $50. (For something a bit beefier, one pal went with the 1080p 40″ Roku TV at $240.)
Jet doesn’t actually stock some (or any?) of its inventory, with orders fulfilled by other retailers. In my case, the television was shipped by Electronics Express and will arrive tomorrow.
Anyone else see some good finds on Jet we should take advantage of. And I mean that quite literally. ;)
“And, while I’d prefer 1080p…”
At 32″, I don’t think that’s much of a concern.
For my anticipated purposes it shouldn’t be an issue, but two people had asked me about it and the TV is replaces is actually 1080p.
“but two people had asked me about it”
Heedless spec-itis is as bad as ebola.
Just tell ’em it’s got electrolytes; they’re what teevees crave.
Used Jet with that 20% coupon (and no sales tax) to fulfill my CPU and case purchases for the new Plex based HTPC I’m building. CPU shipped from Buy.com, case from IPC Store. So far so good…

I’m surprised no one has noted the ‘unlimited US currency’ deal at Jet, which is also available with the 20% intro coupon. 3 to 5 day delivery.
So I guess resolution can be an issue when you put the TV directly on the kitchen table with dinner like 24″ away… wife says it looks fuzzy. :)

Yup. I wouldn’t have made that comment had I known you were literally super-gluing your eyeballs to the screen…
Sonos gets $50 off. But the real deal I found was the Phantom 3 Professional w/4K camera. Normally 1200 or so on Amazon. Was $987 shipped when you waive the return and add the 20%, which maxes out at $50 off. That’s cheaper than the 1080P Advanced model.
Got a second one today for 143.99. Whoever stays in my guest room will thank me. ;)
