By the time this post is live, I’ll be en route to my ship (above). As with my last vacation (Copenhagen), I’m leaving the laptop behind – travel tech is limited to my iPhone, Shure earbuds, and old Panasonic Lumix digital cam. Onboard WiFi runs $55 for 150 minutes, so I’ll periodically check in online to limit the twitching. Otherwise, I can be found at the pool or beach… with books… made from trees! See ya next week.

I would trade places, my beautiful cubical for a spot on that boat….hmm any takers??
I’ll be interested in hearing if there’s unexpected or outrageous iPhone roaming charges involved. I’ve not traveled outside the country since I was carrying a Razr, and knew exactly how to turn it off.
The boat does offer outrageous roaming via a third party for those needing to make calls. However, I’m popping my SIM to ensure I don’t accidentally incur any charges and will stick solely with the WiFi. Perhaps 2.0 software will make it possible to selectively disable cell antenna but keep WiFi active.
