UNEASYsilence has the scoop on the updated Mac Bandwagon iTunes backup utility. Unlike general file archive widgets like Mozy, Bandwagon is designed specifically for iTunes – including backing up media from multiple computers, syncing multiple computers, and obviously providing iTunes restore. Bandwagon is unique in that you can choose your storage location such as Amazon S3 (now) or use FTP (later). Bandwagon is $2/mo plus whatever storage fees you incur.
I’ve already blown through my free Mozy space (6GB) and as I’ve mentioned before, I’d prefer tighter control of my content. So if these guys add iPhoto support, I’ll hop on-board and use them to back everything up (via FTP) on my web server.
