Sony is out with a PSP firmware update today. Though I never use my PSP, I did run the 3.50 updater. Remote Play, Sony’s rudimentary PS3 placeshifting service, now works beyond the LAN. Maybe Alexi will give me his password so I can check it out. There’s also a new RSS Channels feature… which connects to a webpage of outdated (2006) content. Otherwise, there’s not really much going on here. I’m not sure why I hang onto the PSP… I guess I’m holding out for a keyboard and a POP mail client or maybe a movie download service.

Yeah, such a huge disappointment of a handheld. I bought it on day one and I have only bought two games for it. And both were basically launch titles. Love my DS though!
I use my PSP every day, every single day. Thanks for joining the “Bag out Sony” club…
I bought a PSP the day it came out, and this is actually my second unit. The screen is beautiful, but there’s been very few decent games and the ergonomics are generally poor. My mobile phone(s) has got me mostly covered for portable Internet and multimedia. I just don’t find the PSP fun or useful. (Give me that tiny keyboard, some MYLO-like software, and it becomes a nice nightstand web device.)
Ive used mine for an over sized mp3 player for the past few months now and maybe to watch a few podcast if I dont feel like going to the computer upstairs. yes Im that lazy :)
I love my PSP (I also have LocationFree from Sony, so that’s a bonus). Just waiting for GranTurismo Mobile (yeah, right!)
I just purchased a bunch of decent games for $9.99 from Circuit City online:
FightNight 3
LocoRoco
GTA: Liberty City Stories
and although not on sale, I can’t recommend
Killzone: Liberation enough, especially now with online play. Oh yeah, and anything Burnout.
Bummer, CC is out of nearly all $9.99 titles. Maybe I’ll splurge and check out Killzone.
Dave,
Just click “let me know when available” (or whatever it says). That’s (Zatz) how I just got GTA.
When you pick up Killzone, let me know what you think
Well, with homebrew the PSP is a lot more interesting.
Go Dark-Alex!
