Thanks for the defective by design link. I purchased a NIN cd on Amazon that didn’t play in PCs or my car stereo and Amazon took it back as “defective” because they did not list its restrictions. Their customer service was really great about it. It’s a shame their DRM’d products don’t have fine print by default.
