Never enough time…
- Sony Ericsson PMP prototype? (Ubergizmo)
- Broadcast photos onto cable TV. (TechCrunch)
- Unimpressed with TiVo’s online services and KidZone. (Washington Post)
- Slingbox powers remote football scoreboard feed. (Broadcasting & Cable)
- DirecTV adds HD locals in 25 markets. (EngadgetHD)
Wow!!!
Sling gets more and more awesome.
With those Kirkorian Boys, Sling is becoming what TiVo was 7 years ago.
I wish they had a booth at Digital Life … I guess you caught them floating … can you comment on any multicast plans?
FYI: When I clicked on the Slashphone link my McAfee SiteAdvisor blocked it saying…
“Breaches browser security
When we browsed this site, it made unauthorized changes to our test PC.”
I went there anyway and didn’t see anything subversive.

hdtivo: From what I gather, Sling Media had a more formal presence the night before at PEPCOM, though they didn’t have a booth at DigitalLife. I am unaware of any multicast plans and I would recommend they don’t go down that path — seems risky. I requested photos of today’s football experiment.
Bill: Thanks for the information. To be safe, I’ve linked to another site… Though new reports are saying this mock-up is some sort of class project rather than an authentic prototype.
