I have a 2g ipod touch and I just installed the 4.1 software and now have game center on mine. It isn’t showing up as a update, so here’s how you can get it. Go to your device then do the factory restore. It will automatically update your ipod to the newest software version 4.1 and when it is finished you have game center. Then just sync your ipod and there you have it. Just make sure you have a recent backup of your ipod on itunes so you don’t loose anything.
