Fox Mobile has announced plans to launch a new streaming video service for smartphones called Bitbop, potentially beating a mobile Hulu offering to the punch. Bitbop will let users either stream or download TV shows and movies on their smartphones. The app will be available as a free download, but you’ll have to pay $10/month for access to full length movies and TV shows. Bitbop will be available for the iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry phones. The service will work over WiFi or 3G connections.
