Dexim’s new Visible G power charger due out in March includes blinky lights and is environmentally friendly. What could be better? Continuing on the green tech theme, Dexim is introducing a new electroluminescent power charger at CES with a cable that glows when it powers up your devices. The glow isn’t more energy being wasted. It’s phosphor that shows actual electric current already being used. When your gadget is done charging, the glow disappears. And so does your energy output. Unlike plugging a device into the wall with a regular charger, the new Dexim product cuts down on wasted power that normally leaks out even when your gadgets are powered down. No glow, no power, no waste. And at an expected retail price of $40, the Dexim solution is even reasonably affordable. Bye bye, energy vampires.
