Streaming music service Rhapsody has launched a mobile app for BlackBerry users. This means Rhapsody subscribers can now tune into millions of songs using the on-demand music service on Android, iOS, and BalckBerry devices — as well as using a computer.
The Rhapsody service runs $9.99 per month, although the company offers a seven day free trial. The BlackBerry app supports BlackBerry OS 5.0 and up and allows users to access 200 genre-based stations as well as millions of songs which are available for on-demand streaming. The app conveniently supports the BlackBerry Curve’s hardware buttons, allowing users to control music playback using either the phone’s buttons or the buttons on a Bluetooth headset.
Rhapsody has also updated its iPhone app, allowing users to download an entire album for offline playback by pressing a single button. That feature isn’t yet available in the BlackBerry app. In fact, the BlackBerry version of Rhapsody doesn’t let you download songs at all — you need an internet connection to play the music, but Rhapsody plans to roll out offline support in a future version.
I wish they would overhaul that Android app. It is TERRIBLE!!
