Grooveshark is the latest streaming music service to get into the iTunes App Store. But there are a few key differences between the Grooveshark mobile app and those from Rdio, MOG, and Rhapsody.
First up, you can use Grooveshark for free for 30 days before signing up for a subscription. Second, the subscription is about 1/3rd the price of the other guys’, at just $3 per month. Third, you can always visit Grooveshark.com in a desktop web browser to stream music forfree.
But here’s the biggest difference: Grooveshark tried to submit its app a while back and Apple rejected it. Grooveshark took to the back channels and offered a version of its iPhone app through the Cydia store for jailbroken phones. Read the rest of this entry »
