CES: It’s a Wrap!

I’m going to do a bit of Memento trickeration here and continue to cover CES – out of order and after the fact.

As with most folks, I didn’t encounter anything truly revolutionary… though it’s not always immediately apparent at CES what may be a game-changer, with thousands of companies competing for attention. Having said that, I did see (and present) some exciting (and some befuddling) new technologies and advancing trends. I’ll spotlight a few of them over the next few days.

As with most trade shows, the most stimulating aspect for me was connecting with my peeps. I couldn’t even begin to list all the people I enjoyed interacting with it… However, I was pleasantly surprised to run into Kevin Tofel and James Kendrick (jkOnTheRun) on three seperate occasions and Peter Rojas (Engadget, RCRD LBL) twice – especially nice, as I didn’t realize he was attending. Mari and I even managed to connect a couple of times.

On the work side, I just can’t tell you how impressed I am with Team Sling. Our booth, products, and personnel were amazing. Plus Blake may have been the only CEO still in Vegas Thursday night continuing to support his troops. (Also, probably the only CEO who brought along a PS3 and Rock Band.) I’d follow these guys into battle any day.
