I just want to order a freaking Echo Dot without having to own an Alexa-enabled device. I don't care about it for a speaker, just want the voice control of things like my thermostat, etc. Curse Amazon for restricting sales!
Yeah, I want a Dot too. I ordered one from my Fire TV... but it's a long wait. Between limited Dot and this Echo sale, wonder if we should expect a slight hardware refresh this summer or fall.
I'm holding off until it happens or until Dot becomes available to the masses.
