Here at ZNF, we’re big fans of Tablo and find it to be the best post-Aereo solution for technologically savvy cord cutters (and their families). You can check out our complete review here but, in a nutshell, Tablo is both a headless over-the-air TiVo and Slingbox in one — beaming live and recorded television to a variety of endpoints (Roku, iPhone, etc) in the home … and beyond. So we jumped at the opportunity to partner with Tablo to give away a two-tuner unit.
At the end of the cord-cutting/not-cutting branching survey below, simply leave your email address (by 12/1) if you want in on Tablo! Having studied a bit of evaluation in grad school a millennia ago, this isn’t that. We’re shooting for fun engagement, not market research, and I’ll circle back with any interesting trends … no matter how unscientific they may be.

As far as disclosure goes, Adam bought the Tablo he reviewed (as well as the Simple TV he compared it to) months ago. As of a week or three ago, I did begin running a paid Tablo advertisement in the sidebar - where it'll remain for several more weeks. However, we don't accept money or product in exchange for specified content or posts. Although I have a feeling Microsoft's agency would have paid well... ;)
I have tried Slingbox via a friend and never Tivo, and the fact that tablo is like having both together, I really am applying for this contest, and I wish good luck everyone!
Ever since the Google acquisition of SageTV, I have been keeping my eye open for the next best thing for recording OTA. Tablo looks interesting! I wish it supported recording directly to a NAS. Count me in for the contest.
