  1. I saw a brief glimpse of a big fat electrical power cord, similar to the ones that are used with PCs. What is that for?

  2. I really hope porting iOS apps to tvOS is a simple process. If it is, then the ATV4 will have a mountain of usable apps in no time flat.

It will quickly eclipse Roku, Fire, and Chromecast, making the ATV4 an easy decision to make for anyone who owns an iPhone.

I’m also looking forward to a quick port of the Amazon Prime app, and the SlingPlayer app.

Of course HomeKit integration needs to be added, in time I believe it will be. It needs to be a robust implimention, so they should take their time.

  3. At $150, I don’t think it’ll “quickly eclipse” the others… especially amongst the non-Apple crowd. I do hope Amazon Prime ends up on aTV – it’s one of the reasons I sold my last one and replaced it with a Fire TV. Although Roku 3 remains my preferred streamer when not watching Amazon or Netflix via TiVo.

Among other errors, dude is probably quite certain that iPhones have a market share majority…

  5. Power cord isn’t that much different than whats on the ATV2/3, remember there is no wall wart/brick power supply, it’s all internal, just like a large computer.

  6. “Uhhh… my wife and I can no longer wirelessly print via phone. New iOS9 feature? Need new printer firmware?”

Just print to the iOS print server middleman on your always-on Mac Mini on the LAN like a normal person. No need for special printers or firmware hassles.
