Sonos Contemplates Atmos Satellite Speakers & Lower Priced Subwoofer

As Sonos looks to expand its market footprint, the company hit a number of customers today with a survey that describes potential products — each listed at various price points to gauge interest. Most interesting are Sonos One-esque speakers with enhanced bass and Dolby Atmos in addition to (finally) a more affordable Subwoofer, penciled in as the “Sonos Core Sub”. The Atmos satellite speakers may be the same ones revealed earlier this month in an FCC filing, whereas the cheaper Sub is an all-new revelation.

I’ve yet to seriously consider the Sonos Beam, but paired to a set of more capable rears for say $500, would change the math for me in terms of price and functionality. Hm!
