  2. Not sure I agree with that Chucky. They’ll play less than 100% jerks until the merger goes through. Then back to Darth Vader. I wouldn’t go so far as to label them nice.

  3. “Certain programmers” sounds like they might allow HBO GO authentication on Roku, yeah. A full-fledged xfinity channel doesn’t look likely. Still an improvement, though.

  4. What was the other recent HBO Go/Comcast thing? Was it the Playstation? HBO Go on XBox works but it doesn’t work on Playstation?

    What is the freaking justification for this crap again?

  5. It makes sense for Comcast to allow connectivity with other set top boxes. The only real reason to stick with cable is for live sports. If a member of the household isn’t interested in sports, you can just hook up a roku or chromecast to their tv and save the rental fee on a cable box. If they still have access to some cable programming they might be more resistant to cutting the cord completely.
