  1. So they’ve never heard of a DVR? When was the last time I needed anything more than setting a season pass as a “reminder” that a show was on.

  2. Ya know, I’d asked Dan Rayburn of StreamingMedia if cablecos breakdown their set-top types by count or percentage, but they do not. Would be interesting to learn. Then again, with the whole-home model and hubs, it still wouldn’t be super useful by itself. Maybe total households with a DVR? Somebody, somewhere must have an estimate.

    Anyway, I’m mostly stoked for Jeremy/Dijit that he was able to work these high profile deals and is starting to take his company beyond an Apple app.

  3. Thinking too small. And less carrot, more stick.

    For example, this would be perfect for Nest integration. Small speakers around your home would urge you to tune to American Idol, while rapidly cooling your home during the winter, or heating it during the summer, until you gratefully comply.
